The Straight Ahead Band has been delighting crowds since 1995! This CD
represents the collective efforts of
Straight Ahead,
and we hope that after listening to it, you can tell we enjoy making music! Call
it Jazz, call it R&B, the genre is not that important to us, as they both
originate from the same source – people desiring, no, needing to tell
their story. The tracks we chose to record are very fresh and contemporary, yet
contain the passion and emotion reminiscent of the, "Old School". The lyrics. We
would not be satisfied until the words appeared as comfortable by themselves as
prose in a book of poetry as they do here.
The recording was laid back at times, intense other times. Everyone became
an expert producer! So much so, Byron finally said, "That’s it! No more great
ideas." The result is a collection of musical emotions that hopefully take you
on a journey with us as you feel the groove, the funk, the love. Of course, this
means you have to buy the CD. Or Several. Once you do, we recommend you listen
to it in its entirety before continuing to do whatever you have to do during
your "real" lives… You’ll see why…
